Bloodline, Season 1 (2015)
“When the black sheep son of a respected family threatens to expose dark secrets from their past, sibling loyalties are put to the test.” – Critics are being kind to this Netflix original series, so set aside a weekend and binge watch the whole kaboodle to see what the big deal is about.
“Firefighter Gordon Brewer’s family is the “collateral damage” of a terrorist bombing in Los Angeles. When the U.S. government turns to peace talks with the perpetrators instead of justice for his family, Brewer heads to Colombia intent on payback.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger tearing shit up like only a Terminator can.
Deep Blue Sea (1999)
“Two scientists conduct research on sharks, hoping to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. When they decide to take a dangerous shortcut, they end up breeding larger sharks with larger brains — and near-human intelligence.” – Samuel L. Jackson stars with a big ass shark. Tornado not included.
“When plans for a weekend getaway hit a dead end, friends find themselves in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a menacing and bloodthirsty predator.” – Plenty of carnage, but even more negative reviews. Viewer beware.
“A devastating alien attack strips away human life from most of the planet. Among the few survivors are Cole and Maya, who do their best to navigate the chaos, mend their troubled relationship and avoid Earth’s new, unwelcome inhabitants.” – Apparently the trailer for this film was quite a YouTube sensation, so if you were one of the millions of people who watched it, now’s your chance to see the actual movie.
