Not a ton of new films streaming on Netflix this week, but there are a couple of horror movies you’ve heard of and a couple of action films that you probably haven’t.
Mall (2014)
“Hiding together in a suburban shopping mall during the bloody rampage of a heavily armed, meth-addled gunman, five strangers share their terror and review their lives as the threat of imminent death hangs over them.” – This is what happens when Linkin Park and Vincent D’Onofrio get ahold of a camera
“After stumbling across a tidy sum of money from a drug deal gone wrong, pizza-delivery boy Anthoni makes off with the cash. But when his buddy pays the price for that decision, Anthoni goes up against a nefarious thug to avenge his friend’s death.” – Written, directed by and starring Brooklyn-based rapper Slick the Misfit, for what that’s worth.
“Would you kill to live? That’s what Adam and Gordon have to ask themselves when they’re abducted by a serial killer and paired up in a deadly situation — holed up in a prison constructed with such ingenuity that escape seems impossible.” – Parts 2 through 4 are also available.
“In this installment of the horror anthology series, a group of teens have their wish for fame granted after a car chase turns them into Internet celebrities, a pair of skateboarders runs afoul of a Mexican death cult, and more.” – Take the best segments from this film, combine them with the best segments from the other entries, and you’ll likely have a pretty good movie.
