Flying solo or with his co-host Zena Dixon, he will discuss an array of topics covering film, literature, and television. Check out the latest installment below. In this super-sized episode, we’re looking back at Alicia Silverstone ‘90s Thrillers!

Directed by Alan Shapiro, 1993’s The Crush stars Alicia Silverstone as a precocious young teen that becomes dangerously obsessed with her parents’ new tenant (Cary Elwes). Directed by Guy Ferland, 1995’s The Babysitter features Ms. Silverstone as a young babysitter who becomes the center of several dark fantasies slowly growing closer to reality over the course of one night. Directed by Pat Verducci, 1996’s True Crime finds the actress as a Catholic school senior fascinated with police work. After investigating the death of a fellow student, she is thrust into the mystery and just might go from investigator to victim before the mystery is solved.

Alicia Silverstone became an iconic sensation with 1995’s Clueless, and she will forever be associated with the role that made her famous. Interestingly, just before and just after entering the pop culture vernacular as Cher Horowitz, she made these three thrillers that show off her versatility as an actress. Although Ms. Silverstone will always be beloved as the Beverly Hills teen matchmaker, each of these suspenseful 1990s films showcase the actress’s abilities as the girl-next-door, as a teenage Nancy Drew, and as a Lolita-ish homicidal maniac.
