Septic Man – Upcoming Horror Movie

Septic Man tells the story of sewage worker named Jack that sets out on a quest to determine the cause of the town’s water contamination problem. But shortly after descending into the sewer, he becomes trapped  in a septic tank. Jack undergoes a major physical transformation and ultimately joins forces with a gentle giant to stage an escape as well as confront a crazed killer that lurks underground.

The film is directed by Jesse Thomas Cook (Scarce) and written by Tony Burgess (Pontypool). Septic Man stars Jason David Brown (Exit Humanity) as Jack and Molly Dunsworth (Hobo with a Shotgun) as Shelley.

I was initially suspect of Septic Man. At first glance, it looks like a highly forgettable film. But after seeing the trailer and reading some of the advance reviews, I am looking forward to checking it out. Septic Man looks something like The Toxic Avenger meets Christopher Smith’s Creep. The film is set for an August 15th limited theatrical release and will be available three days prior to that via VOD.
