Will Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame make it to a third start in this series?

The Classic Friday The 13th is getting a full reboot and remake for a 2015 release! This despite the fact that it was already rebooted in 2009 by Marus Nispel of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But hey, if it worked for Spiderman, who knows, right? Double reboot anyone?

Horror director David Bruckner, who wrote and directed the excellent Amateur Night segment of V/H/S (the first segment about the guys in the hotel room bringing back a succubus demon women) is in negotiations to direct a total reboot of the horror classic for Paramount Pictures. Michael Bay will also be producing, so expect a big budget for this film.

We’re hoping that Camp Crystal Lake and Jason Voorhees come along for the ride. Rumor has it a possible found-footage approach might employed on this reboot, which would make sense given David Bruckner’s background with V/H/S and his first film, The Signal.

But best of all, the film is scheduled to be released on.. you guessed it, Friday The 13th, 2015.

However, the found-footage angle is already causing controversy in the horror movie community given the love felt for the franchise. What do you think? Should Paramount totally reboot again after just six years? Do a sequel to the 2009 film? Tell us what you think.
