Yesterday, we brought you the drool-worthy line-up of films that are due to play at Halloween kick-off party FEARnyc (October 21-27). Among the raft of horror classics was Dead Awake, the new, upcoming flick from Final Destination writer Jeffrey Reddick.
And now, just in time for both that festival and Shriekfest (October 6-9), where the film is also screening, we’ve got our very first trailer to pore over. Check it out for yourself right after the jump.
Dead Awake is written by Reddick and directed by Phillip Guzman. It stars Jocelin Donahue (The House Of The Devil) as a social worker who, while investigating a series of Nightmare On Elm Street-style cases of victims dying in their sleep, finds herself plunged into a nightmare of supernatural terror.
A young woman must save herself and her friends from an ancient evil that stalks its victims through the real-life phenomenon of sleep paralysis
The movie also stars Lori Petty (Gotham), Jesse Bradford (The West Wing) and Brea Grant (Halloween II, Beyond The Gates).
No release date is yet confirmed, but stay tuned to Wicked Horror for when to expect the movie and for more updates along the way.
