The Lost Boys Series Casts Two Key Players!

The Lost Boys: The Beginning 1987

Wicked Horror has just received word regarding who will play two pivotal  roles in the upcoming CW reboot of Joel Schumacher’s vampire classic, The Lost Boys. 

Rio Mangini (of Everything Sucks – pictured bottom left) will play Sam (originally portrayed by the late Corey Haim) and Del Zamora (of Mayans M.C. – pictured bottom right) will play Grandpa (originally played by the late Barnard Hughes). 

In previous casting news: Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf, Truth or Dare,) will appear as Michael and Kiele Sanchez (of The Purge: Anarchy) will play Lucy (who was played by Dianne Wiest in the original film). Medalion Rahimi (Criticsized) will play Stella (a character inspired by Jami Gertz’s Star character from the original) and relative newcomer Dakota Shapiro will be playing David (the role made famous by Kiefer Sutherland in the 1987 original). Sarah Hay (Flesh and Bone) is set to appear as Mollie who has been turned by Michael (Posey). Cheyenne Haynes (Camping) and Haley Tju (Bella and the Bulldogs) will appear as The Frog Sisters.

Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen and Twilight), will helm the pilot from a script by frequent TV writer Heather Mitchell.
