Summer of Blood Director’s New Film Applesauce to Premiere at Tribeca

Onur Tukel’s (Summer of Blood) new film Applesauce is slated to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. In addition to directing, Tukel also penned the script and stars. As well as Tukel, the film also features appearances by Trieste Kelly Dunn, Max Casella, Jennifer Prediger, and Dylan Baker.

I was a huge fan of Summer of Blood (review) and am thus really looking forward to Tukel’s new project. He has proven to have a great understanding of the balance between horror and comedy as well as delivering a great film on a budget, so it will be interesting to see how he’s attacked this latest project.

“After he confesses the worst thing he’s ever done to a radio talk show host, Ron Welz’s past starts catching up to him and someone starts sending him body parts. Who is tormenting him? There are eight million people in New York City, and everyone’s a suspect.”

The film will be screening at the following locations and times:

Public Screening #2 | Monday, April 20, 9:30pm @ Bow Tie Cinemas BTC-6
