See John Carpenter’s Haddonfield Then and Now in this Video

This Haddonfield then and now video – while it isn’t anything that hasn’t been done before – is pretty cool, nonetheless. It provides a then and now look at the Pasadena locations that were used to portray Haddonfield, Illinois in the classic 1978 feature film Halloween. Head inside to check it out for yourself.

In addition to the city streets and some of the landmarks used throughout the production, the embedded video clip below also provides a look at the house that was used in the film as it was in the late seventies and as it is appears in the present after some modifications and a new paint job.

The 1978 classic takes place on Halloween night in Haddonfield, Illinois. The majority of the film occurs after an escaped mental patient returns to his hometown to finish what he started years earlier when he murdered his older sister.

The film is written and directed by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis, P.J. Soles, and Donald Pleasance. Moustapha Akkad served as the film’s executive producer and his family has stayed on in a production capacity throughout the franchise.
