Phantasm Ravager Pushed to 2016 (Or Later)

Phantasm: Ravager Movie 2016

Phantasm: Ravager - Don Coscarelli's Phantasm title screen.

All has been fairly quiet on the Phantasm: Ravager front as of late. A teaser hit the net a while back after the project seemingly materialized out of thin air and then…Nothing. When the subject came up at Kentucky’s ScareFest, series creator Don Coscarelli revealed that a 2015 release is a definite no go and that the project will likely be poised for release some time in 2016 if everything works out as expected.

Phantasm: Ravager is the long-awaited final installment in the Phantasm series. The project has long been surrounded by secrecy. It was filmed in its entirety before the picture was even announced. Ravager marks the fifth installment in the series and the first not directed by series creator Don Coscarelli. It, once again, pits Reggie against the mysterious Tall Man in one final showdown.

Phantasm: Ravager sees the return of all the original cast members: Angus Scrimm, Reggie Bannister, A. Michael Baldwin, and Michael Thornbury are all reprising their roles. Prior to taking over directorial duties on the Phantasm franchise, David Hartman had previously worked in animation; directing and producing children’s cartoons.

We will keep you apprised as more information becomes available on this much anticipated film.
