According to the press release, season three will begin production in Dublin in the fall. The network has ordered a total of nine episodes for the season three, which will debut in 2016. It will likely premiere sometime in May. The season two finale is set to air on Sunday, July 5.
Penny Dreadful stars Eva Green, Josh Hartnet, Timothy Dalton, Harry Treadaway, Danny Sapani, Reeve Carney, Rory Kinnear, and Billie Piper. Season Two’s guest stars included Patti LuPone, Douglas Hodge, Sarah Greene, and Jonny Beauchamp.
“Some of literature’s most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from the novel Dracula are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. Penny Dreadful is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.”
