Recently we brought you the news that NECA would be releasing a Friday the 13th video game replica mask and today we are happy to share an advance look at the packaging for the forthcoming release with you. Friday the 13th Franchise posted a photo of the mask earlier today and we have your first look after the break.
The ‘Glow in the Dark’ Jason Voorhees mask will be available to order next month. A more specific date of release has yet to be announced. We will keep you apprised as more details about this replica item are made available.
Here is the official description from the NECA website: His name was Jason… and this was his mask. Or at least it was in the classic Friday the 13th video game!
This full-size, wearable replica of Jason’s mask is based on the 1989 “so-bad-it’s-good” 8-bit game. The hand-painted reproduction features elastic harness straps that allows you to wear it or hang on the wall — and true to the video game original, it glows in the dark! As a bonus, the mask comes in unique, game-inspired packaging.
