New Halloween Film Will Lens This Fall!

Halloween Most outrageous deaths in the Halloween franchise - Halloween Returns

Danny McBride has been a great source for news regarding the upcoming next installment in the Halloween franchise in the past. And he just revealed on The Jim and Sam Show that the new film will be shooting very soon. “We’ve been cracking away on [the film],” McBride said. “We’re gonna shoot it this fall.”

As we’ve mentioned before, the new film will, in fact, not be a remake at all. It will pick up where the second installment left off!

Danny McBride revealed in a previous interview that the latest effort will be focused on scares rather than gags, which is great news.

McBride is cowriting the film with David Gordon Green, who will be at the helm. The picture is slated to hit theaters on October 19th, 2018.

As we previously reported, Blumhouse, Miramax, and Trancas International Films are partnering to produce the next installment in the series.

Prior to losing the rights to the franchise, Dimension was in development in a new Halloween film with Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Halloween 3D was reportedly set to pick up after the events of the second film and would not tie in to Rob Zombie’s reboots.

Make sure to stay tuned to the site in the coming months for more updates as they are announced.
