We’re just a week away from the premiere of Scream Queens season two, but, surprisingly, a brand-new, must-know bit of casting news has just dropped.
Variety reports that the legendary Kirstie Alley has been tapped as a series regular on the second series of the show.
Alley has starred in everything from Cheers to Star Trek over the course of her celebrated career, but will perhaps be most known to genre fans for Village Of The Damned, along with her hilarious turn in the wickedly dark, Not Quite Horror mockumentary Drop Dead Gorgeous.
She joins returning cast members Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell, and Niecy Nash. Featuring in the sophmore season of the hit show will be none other than John Stamos(!), along with Taylor Lautner and James Earl as the series’ new male leads. Guest stars include Colton Haynes and Cecily Strong.
According to Variety, Alley will play “a brilliant and devious administrator at the C.U.R.E. Institute where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation”.
Season two of Scream Queens graduates from the college campus and into an all-new location, as a terrifyingly funny mystery will begin once again. Season two is set in a hospital, run by Cathy Munsch (Curtis), where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation
You can catch the season two premiere on Fox, on Tuesday, September 20 at 9PM ET / 10PM PT.
