2010 was the last time we saw Freddy Krueger up on the big screen and it may be a while before we ever see Freddy up there again. Though all is not lost, Scream Factory artist Nathan Thomas Milliner has taken matters in his own hands by directing a short film to bring the iconic Freddy back into our dreams.
The short will be a prequel to the original Elm Street titled The Confessions of Fred Krueger, and Milliner cast his friend Kevin Roach (Volumes of Blood) in the role of the horror icon.
The Confessions of Fred Krueger will touch upon the icon’s backstory which has only briefly been touched upon throughout the franchise. There’s a whole lot left to be told, which is where this short comes into play. Set in 1973, Krueger is brought to the station to be interrogated by the department’s lieutenant after twenty children are slaughtered over a 5-year reign of terror in the nice suburban town.
