James Cromwell Boards Jurassic World Sequel

It’s been a while since we heard anything in relation to the immediately-greenlit Jurassic World sequel. But now, it seems we finally have a reason to celebrate, with another big name addition to an already strong cast.

According to THR, Oscar nominee James Cromwell (whom horror fans will recognise from his memorable role as a Nazi doctor in American Horror Story: Asylum) will be visiting the park when the film opens next summer.

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are both slated to reprise their roles in the sequel, under the watchful eye of Juan Antonio Bayona (who directed horror hit The Orphanage, along with A Monster Calls).

Frank Marshall and Stephen Spielberg will return to executive produce. Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, who is also exec-producing, and Derek Connolly will pen the script for the forthcoming sequel.

The cast also includes Ted Levine, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, Rafe Spall and Toby Jones. There are no character details as of yet.

The 2015 feature grossed $1.67 billion at the global box office, becoming the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time so a sequel should come as no surprise.

The park opens again on June 22, 2018.

Stay tuned to Wicked Horror for more details as they become available.
