The film stars Shelby Young, Chloe Bridges, Mitch Hewer, Taylor Murphy, and Carter Jenkins. It is written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods. Nightlight will be in theaters and on demand March 27, 2015.
It looks extremely generic and laden with jump scares. But sometimes a trailer can be misleading, so who knows? Maybe the best has yet to be seen…One can always hope. And it is rated R, so there is a chance that the distributor is saving the best stuff for the red band trailer.
For years, the Covington forest has been shrouded in mystery, with a dark past as a final destination for troubled youths. Undeterred by the news of a classmate who recently took his life in those woods, five teens journey into the forest for an evening of flashlight games and ghost stories. But their plans go awry when the friends awaken a demonic presence, an unseen evil that will seize upon their deepest fears—and plunge them into a nightmare of absolute terror.
