New on Netflix is a weekly feature here at Wicked Horror where we take a look at the latest additions to everyone’s favorite streaming service. It can be tough sifting through all those horror titles, not really knowing what’s worth watching and what isn’t. Sometimes, you know exactly what you’re looking for, but when you go to watch it the title has already been taken down. Here, we do our best to let you know what’s been added and re-added from week to week.
The beginning of the month hit us with a lot of strong material, with some current favorites and old classics alike and while the middle gives us some strong content, there’s not very much of it. Hopefully, this picks up throughout the month as we build closer and closer to Halloween.
So kick back, relax, make some popcorn or maybe even munch on some candy corn as we bring you what’s new on Netflix for the week of September 11.
Ejecta
One of the latest in an increasingly long line of alien invasion movies, Ejecta is actually a pretty entertaining ride nonetheless. If you haven’t checked this one out, it’s definitely worth a look and boasts some pretty decent performances and some slick cinematography.
Based on Daniel Schaffer’s extremely successful graphic novel, The Scribbler is definitely what I would go with for this week if I could only recommend one thing. Schaffer himself wrote the screenplay for the adaptation, which maintains the manic, kinetic energy of the source material. It’s also just great to look at, so this one’s definitely worth a look whether comic book movies are typically your thing or not.
